Tara

Our little dog Tara passed away this summer before we moved. She had been living with us since we moved to Logan in 2007, and before that she had been Kevin's family dog since he was 12!  Kevin and his brother saved up their allowance money to buy her when Kev was in the 6th grade.
When we moved to Logan we were excited that we had a place that we could bring her to live with us. She brought such a cute personality to our home and we truly loved her. At first she slept in the garage but the first winter we lived in Logan it was so cold that I just could not imagine leaving her out there. One day I could not find Tara and looked all around the house, I found her asleep in the bottom of my closet on a comforter that I had folded up on the floor. Ever since then the closet was her bed and her favorite place to be.
Tara was getting older and had some health problems. She was about 15 or 16 years old, and we were getting worried about what we were going to do with her when we moved here to the UK. I was really worried about it, and kept bringing up to Kevin the subject of what we were going to do with her. It was breaking my heart to think of having to put her down because we could not find a place for her to live. Kevin was always positive and said that he had a feeling that it was going to work out. We didn't realize that meant that Tara would decide to leave us on her own. We were out of town when our best friends Carl and Jenna were watching her. I am so happy that it was Jenna that was there for Tara. Jenna is a Vet Technition and she is very good with animals. She called us in Seattle and took Tara straight to the Vet that she works for. Tara was having seizures every few minutes and the Vet advised that we put her down. He allowed us to be on speaker phone as they put her down and talked us through the whole thing. It was so tough to say goodbye to our little dog. You really do become very attached to animals. We both really loved Tara and Kevin especially had a tough time. When we got home from our trip it was so strange to go home without her there. Kevin and I both still miss her, and have said many times while we have been living here that we miss Tara. She was such a good dog and we loved her very much!  WE LOVE YOU TARA!
